Download the Photorestoration image from edifazio.com
Save to your folder.
Open Photoshop.
Open the resoration image and save to your folder.
Use the crop tool (c) to crop the image, use the top image for this assignment.
Make a duplicate layer of the image. Layer / duplicate layer.
You will need this layer to see your progress as you work.
Be sure to target the top layer in the layers palette.
Choose the rubber stamp tool (s) from the tool box.
Zoom (z) to the crack at the top right of the image to begin the resoration process.
Select the rubber stamp tool (s). Select a brush (size 17 approx. with a soft feathered edge, not a hard circle brush) Target the pixels just to the left of the crack by holding the alt key and clicking once. As you click you will see the tool turn into a small bullseye. These are the pixels you will duplicate to cover the tear.
Release the alt key.
Move the cursor to the tear. Click to paint in the missing pixels.
Move the target to the other side of the tear. Hold the alt key and click.

TURN OFF THE LAYER YOU ARE WORKING ON TO SEE YOUR PROGRESS
You will continue this procedure to repalce all the missing pixels in the work. Remember to continually change the target from one side of the tear to the other to create a realistic restoration. NEVER DRAG THE RUBBER STAMP TOOL ACCROSS THE PAGE This will create a really ugly mark.Use the bracket keys to change the size of the brush as you work.
Hold the space bar to change the tool to the hand tool and you will be able to scroll the image without zooming out.
PAINT COLOR INTO THE IMAGE.
Use the paint brush in COLOR Mode to paint in color in the image. The color mode is in the brush options where you see the word "normal" at the top of the page. change the "normal" to "color". This will enable you to color the pixels without destroying the texture of the image. Choose a color for the grass, paint in the grass, choose a color for each of the areas in the work and continue painting.
Save your work.
